Limited Liability Partnership
When you form a limited liability partnership (LLP) you must appoint at least two members as 'designated members'. The duties of the designated member are similar to that of a director of a company. Like a limited company, statutory accounts will need to be filed at Companies House within specified dates. In addition, an annual return is also required to be filed by certain deadlines.
One member of the LLP will be responsible for filing the annual partnership tax return with HM Revenue & Customs. The liability to pay the tax falls on the individual members as the income falls within self assessment.
